1. Explain why you selected each of the TWO videos you choose from the selection listed above

The reason why i selected the two videos "Buddhism" and "Hinduism" was because after reading about these two religions in the text book, i wanted to further my knowledge on the two subjects. I found these two topics to be very interesting while reading about it in the art book.

2. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.

For the Buddhism video, key concepts i learned was that after Buddha's death the religion split into Hinayana and mahanya. What i also learned was that in Carmel new york there is an area of buildings called chuang yen monastery that is dedicated to the Buddhism religion. For the Hinduism video the key concepts i learned was about the Hindu gods and goddesses which i found pretty interesting. I learned that it was often compared to christian/catholic saints. What i found most interesting was how in the Hindu religion they depict some of the gods in half human form.

3. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?

The videos relate to the text because in the text that we were told to read it talks about these two religions, how they originated, and what the religions are really about.

4.What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the readings and art concepts?

My opinion of the films was that they were very interesting and included alot of detail. I enjoyed learning more about these two religions and seeing it in visual form. They add dept to understanding the readings and art concepts because the videos make learning about it more pleasant. If your a visual learning then it can help you way more.
